White River Electric’s primary purpose is to provide our members with safe, reliable power at the lowest cost possible; but according to Board President Bill Jordan, “we strive to go beyond that and to be a valued member of our community”.
The WREA Board recently approved to pay out $1.2M in capital credits to its membership. When people sign up to receive electric service from White River Electric Association they become a member of a rural electric cooperative. With membership comes privileges.
Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives is a national network of electric cooperatives across 46 states that provides resources and leverages partnerships to help member cooperatives and their employees better engage and serve their members. By working together, Touchstone Energy cooperatives stand as a source of power and information to their 32 million member-owners every day.
